This is a 90 minute Specialty Class on Sunday, December 12th 2pm-3:30pm. We will begin with some gentle movement & breathwork, to prepare the body and mind to drop deeply into this healing & rejuvenating practice. Please dress comfy and have props or blankets and pillows available to create the most comfort and ease. Yoga Nidra is an ancient technique with proven benefits in reducing tension in the body and the mind. It is known for relieving the symptoms of stress and anxiety. Laying super cozy in a cloud of props (or your bed), you will be guided on a journey through the mind and body. This systematic form of relaxation is blissfully rejuvenating, and there is no previous experience needed, anybody can do it. Yoga Nidra is a nervous system reset. This is a very gentle way to bring your body back into a state of rest and relaxation (your parasympathetic nervous system) and bring you out of the fight or flight response (sympathetic nervous system), creating more peace and well-being in your body, mind and heart. This practice is also know for producing a better night’s sleep...some say the best sleep they have ever had! Yoga Nidra is an easy and effective way to experience one of the deepest forms of meditation available, and all you have to do is lay there! Sleep that awakens the soul.
